Embraer ERJ-135 (N259JX)
With the nose wheel only a few feet off the runway as it is beginning to rotate, JSX's N259JX, wearing the "Tom Cruise Top Gun Maverick" special livery, departs RNO on 16L enroute to Burbank (KBUR), CA.

I found it rather interesting that the word "Theaters" is spelled "Theatres." Although both spellings are correct, "Theatres' is the preferred spelling in Britain and almost everywhere .... except in the USA. When the primary audience is expected to be American, the past practice has been to spell theater with an "er" ending. And since the movie was filmed in the US, features an American movie star as its main character, and is primarily about the US Navy, I just find it rather unusual that the "RE" ending is used in this livery. OK, enough rambling about trivia ..... lol
Neat pic and agree with you on the spelling especially as this is primarily US as you say. Out of interest, is it spelled the same on the starboard side? Spelled the way it is, and more so if it's the same on the other side, it's almost as if this aircraft is headed overseas.
Hi, Gavin. Yes, it is spelled the same way on both sides. As for JSX flying overseas .... The airline IS expanding its service to two new cities (announced today); however, it isn't going to be flying overseas .... yet. lol
Thanks for the extra insight Gary. I was thinking along the lines of being a special livery, that perhaps the movie's promotion machine might charter it for out-of-US trips - what a great billboard. Issue would be lack of range for overseas international travel. All that makes the spelling more intriguing for what must be essentially a US market.
Wow! Fantastic shot and catch Gary! I never saw this livery before! All 5 and deserves more!
