Can you put: Aircraft Type, Registration and Airport in please?
Sorry Roy... I'm more into taking images than identifying aircraft... I will try to find out what it is... and its registration...I can tell you the "AIRPORT " is RAF Waddington...nr Lincoln and it was two years ago at a Display. Regards Allan.
Hey thats fine Allan, I think it is called a P8-Poseidon, (not sure if I have the spelling right :D )based on the 737-800, kind of interested in a/c types. Sorry I am a perfectionist in this regard. Lol
Great shot anyhow.
Wonder if the reg' isn't 955, the only thing I can see that could pass for it.
USN aircraft regs all begin with "16----." This one is 167955.
Thanx Gary!
Roy... Gary is "spot on"... this U.S. Navy P-8A is U.S. Navy BuNo. 167955. Navy issued bureau numbers (as opposed to USAF serial numbers) are assigned (more or less) sequentially sans any fiscal year reference.
This aircraft is reported to be serving with the U.S. Navy's Air Test and Evaluation Squadron, VX-1, at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland.
Joe Baugher's published information provides this history -
"Boeing P-8A Poseidon, Model 737-AFV"
"167955 (MSN 40595) originally N328DS, registered to Boeing company Nov 3, 2010, cancelled Mar 2, 2011. To VX-1"
