Full audio transcript of MH370 communications

Enviado

Malaysian authorities on Tuesday released their full transcript of the audio communications between Flight 370's cockpit and air traffic controllers before the plane disappeared March 8. The conversation, heavy with aviation shorthand, is in English with the one Indonesian comment meaning, "Good morning." (bigstory.ap.org) Más...

Accirding to the transcript, until the handoff to Ho Chi Minh center, the flight seemed mostly unremarkable.

At the point, after last contact with Kuala Lumpur and before first contact with Ho Chi Minh, all contact with MH370 was lost, the transponder stopped transmitting, and the plane was reported to have turned back toward Malaysia without further communication.

but notice how the tower and ground was garbled several times as well as DEP told to go Dir IGARI, but was cleared for PIBOS A so there was definitely a change in route...This disappearance is just as confusing as Air France... :/

I noticed the same thing... that does happen from time to time, but in this case, it does seem suspicious... I really think that they are covering up something.

"Malaysian authorities on Tuesday released **their** full transcript of the audio communications..."

Who would believe them now?

You would be surprised...

Nothing unusual here, he was assigned a SID as normal but as traffic permits, he was cleared to bypass the SID and proceed direct to his first waypoint Certainly no evidence of a reroute to the West.

How was Air France confusing? I take it you are speaking of flight 447? No confusion about 447 at all. Found the wreckage within days, black boxes took longer, by years, but that isn't confusing. The only thing confusing about AF447 was the co-pilot pitching the nose up to recover from a stall.......in fact, more mind boggling than confusing.

It is about time they release that.... If that is really what was said... They have been covered up so much and the last words said turned out not to be the last words, not sure what to believe.

Wasn't there a transcript of the radio communications released a couple of weeks ago?

Not that I have seen... They released 1 sentence that they later changed, and they they release this transcript... Personally I do not trust them to give us the real story... They lied the first time and very slow to release info. I firmly believe that they know more than they are giving us.

In this context, Malaysian air traffic control speaking with Malaysia Airlines, that comment is in Bahasa Malaysia, rather than Indonesian. The two languages are very similar.

Looks like the pilot switched to departure before the tower cleared him to "contact departure".

Tower at 12:40:38: 370 32 Right Cleared for take-off. Good night.

Cockpit (no time given): 32 Right Cleared for take-off MAS370. Thank you Bye.

The "Good Night" from tower was clearence.

I find it odd that the cockpit checks in again with Radar at roughly 1:07 to say their at FL 350 without it being requested by Radar. Radar already knew they were at FL 350 from the cockpit's earlier transmission at roughly 1:01.

That's normal communications.

but why would the CO-PILOT do it? especially AFTER the CAPTAIN had only SIX mins before?

It happens quite often. Even on my crew.

Did Ho Ching Ming Control/Center ever try to contact MH370 again after it failed to check in?

Short answer: Yes.

They tried reaching MH370.
They had another nearby plane (about 1/2 hour ahead) try to reach MH370.
And they informed the Malaysians that they lost contact with MH370, and that MH370 failed to respond to all attempts to communicate with them.

That is a really good question...It would be a safe bet that they did. How else would we know the plane is missing?
