Singapore: World's most awesome airport gets awesomer
Hailed as the world's best airport, Singapore's Changi is getting a huge new futuristic pleasure dome. Last time I was at Singapore's Changi Airport, I was waiting for my flight by relaxing at the swimming pool and sipping a Singapore Sling. I really didn't want to leave. Is this a paid add? The last time I was at Singapore airport (recently) it was exactly what is was meant to be .. an efficient easy to use airport. Airports are not holiday destinations .. they are not places you want to be for any length of time. If you have to be there for any length of time it costs a lot (either via a first or business class ticket or just plain currency) to make a wait less tedious. The only reason you use them is because the flight your taking starts, passes through or ends there.
Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Dubai are all good airports but thats all they are.

Eddie Snowden might not agree that you only use an airport for flights that begin, end, or transit there. :-)
I used to take first dates for coffee to the TWA terminal at JFK in the 60's... an exciting short destination before I got my ticket,, made the evening seem more exciting ,,,
Me? I'd rather have the fancy airport.
