A Thai Airways flight had to dump fuel in the English Channel and turn back to Heathrow moments after take-off - when the pilot was told that a cargo door was open. It must have been flying REALLY low if it dumped fuel "in" the Channel. It seems a tad more likely that it dumped fuel while OVER the Channel.
