American and US Airways livery to be decided
Looks as if the new and much commented on (pros and cons) American Airlines livery is still an undecided issue as Flightglobal is reporting. The new president of the combined airline Doug Parker is already calling the shots and is not comitting yet whereas Tom Horton influence is fading. To go along with what V R said, why would AA spend all the money to get a new logo/livery when they were trying so hard to merge with USAir? If they were trying so hard for the last few months, they wouldn't have wasted the money or released it so soon. I'll bet that they try to just absorbe USAir into the AA name since its known more internationally.

Parker is not known for spending money on something that doesn't give a pretty quick ROI, and I think it was already public before the announcement that if it did go thru it would be AMERICAN AIRLINES. He was CFO for AWE before the merger taking over just before 911 and US Air name came out dominant in that. It will be interesting.
