I was hoping to see a window in the bathroom. That was one of the more memorable things when I got a tour of the design center (I forgot the real name of the place).

That and I remember how they said the crew rest beds are actually tilted a couple degrees relative to the fuselage. So that at cruise, they are level.

Though this was all before one actually rolled off the line. So those may have changed.

Gorgeous aircraft! It would appear that it has a galley and or crew quarters down below? Cool!

"The 787 is more than a foot narrower than the 777, but United maintained the same seating configuration as its Continental acquisitions, which you might assume makes the aircraft seem a bit cramped. The higher ceilings and open feel made the difference ALMOST unnoticeable"

Was surprised to read the cabin is narrower.

If the seats are the same width as the 767 I will seek out their 777s which have their widest seats.

Keep in mind, it was never intended to be larger than the B777 and is quite a bit smaller. It was designed for a much different type of route.

As a lifelong airport guy, I have to question the positioning of the ground power unit! Never in a million years would I position a running power unit under the wing of any airplane! What junior management moron came up with that idea?

if you look closely at the photo you will see the power cord right next to the noe gear

Mark, I know where the power cord plug is. I'm talking about the postioning of the actual ground power unit.

I like how the IFE is in various states of crashing/booting/errors/etc. Consistent with the Continental 757/777 IFE.

You're right, 2-4-2, which is fewer pax than 3-3-3.

Agreed. Big mistake. I will stick with UA 777 or seek out ANA 787 if going that way.
