Bell Textron has unveiled the design for the company's entrant into the US Army's Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program: a single-rotor helicopter called the Bell 360 Invictus. Very interesting design... I like it.... Back in the early '80's the Army was looking for a Light Attack Helicopter (LHX programme). One design was for a single pilot, single rotor, swept back wings, and a tapered tail using with some sort of direct thrust instead of a tail rotor. There is a model of MD500 which uses NOTAR.
