because they have few frequencies, sometimes only one or two per week, you be stranded if there is a mechanical cancellation. Their route system does not lend itself to shuffling delayed passengers on other flights, and their load factors ( bargain hunting travelers) don't make that so easy either. I do not know good reasons to fly this fascimile airline.

All very true, but knowing this, where else can those on a budget travel 800 miles for $59? However, such an airline is not for everybody.

in fact i do know how to travel cheaper than allegient. I drive one of my Prius cars to Boston twice a year, when I haul several hundred pounds of equipment that would not be safely treated by any airline. Do the Math: 50 MPG, 1,500 miles equals 30 gallons petrol at $2.50/gallon Tadah: $75 for the one-way trip, $150 for the round trip. 800 miles runs $40 bucks. The one way trip to Boston takes as long as the proposed Quantas flights to London from Sydney. just saying.....

Getting rid of those old worn out AC helped so far but still needs good pilots or to be very lucky.

Well yes, the MD80s were running on engines picked from the boneyards.

The carrier acquired many 20-year old A320s for the fleet shift. Mostly airframes retired from the original Europe operators.
