Norwegian Boeing 787 Engine Parts Fall From Sky Onto Italian Town
One person, 25 vehicles and 12 houses were hit by falling debris from a Boeing 787-8 as it made an emergency return to Rome's Fiumicino airport this weekend. The Norwegian flight DY-7115 was scheduled to fly from Rome to Los Angeles but encountered technical problems shortly after take-off. (www.forbes.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
This is not a Boeing problem, this was an engine problem and Boeing does not make engines. Investigators will need to determine if the engine failure was the result of a faulty part or a lack of proper inspection and maintenance.
Yes. Except, perceptually this will be seen as another Boeing 'problem'; the general public isn't aware that aircraft manufacturers outsource the engines for technical reasons.
Ok so the engine broke apart. Pilots are trained for that. I've flown Norwegian, its not my favorite airline.
Trent 1000 issues are known, but this failure raises questions as to whether the mandated inspection regime for these engines was followed.

technically all the engine parts are supposed to remain within the engine......
Or at least fly in close formation with it.
LOL. good one!
And technically people should think before they post but...…………..oh well troll
