TSA Considers Using 3D CT Scanners At Airports
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The transportation Security Administration is considering using 3D CT scanners at airports to check carry-on bags, which means the days of having to take things out of your carry-on bag could be numbered. Unlike the current ones that use decade-old technology, the new machines can detect explosives in laptops, liquids and gels. (losangeles.cbslocal.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
The only explosives they deal with are the 90%+ of the ones that are run through for merely testing the TSA's (complete lack of) efficiency that would have made it on to the planes. Everybody knows it. The TSA has nothing to do with airline safety, and PLEASE show me how I'm wrong and explain it to me from the department's inception.
This is just to incredible.
This will be great for checked baggage. It will reduce the time it takes for baggage to get to the loading area and reduce the theft that goes on by the people who open the bags to check them.
The TSA couldn't catch a cold. If it weren't for a cushy job with the fed.gov these people would be behind the counter at McDonalds asking if you want fries with that.
