To a degree this is quite funny, but working with these things (UGH) it is a major issues. We have cancelled 2 hour because of inop toilets.

The formerly great BBC is beginning to seem like North Korea's KCNA - stories absolutely void of facts.

Journalism is actually dead. You didn't hear about it because there was no one left to write a coherent, factual obituary.

You might be right. This was published 18 years ago. I don't know if journalism covered it, I was out of town.

Evidently the crew had a duty to acknowledge the pax' dooties.

Wouldn't you think the BBC writer of this article could tell us the name of the airline?

Yup, hell of a story. Great journalism there, the writer will probably have a Fox News show soon.

Had this happen in about 1987 on the same type of aircraft, B767 en route DFW, ORY and thought we'd be ok locking the first class cabin toilet with the then Governor of TX.on board and all was ok until descent into Paris and the waste started seeping under the toilet door. Most embarrassing. A popped circuit breaker as it turned out.

Perhaps I missed the facts, but What Airline?

You did not miss any fact... the article didn't tell us much. Some of the people did the research that the BBC neglected to do and found that it was an OpenSkies 767. F-HILU.
