Seem a myth to me but mother nature has many secrets to unveil. Even from the deep but how far wide does this triangle stretch and why have people not dissapeared from Miami beach?

I get the loss of adhesion on a ship's hull from gas bubbles and then sinking, but I can't get my head around why they talk about planes?
