3 killed in plane crash at southwest Georgia airport

Three people were killed in an airplane crash near Southwest Georgia Regional Airport in Albany.

The aircraft crashed and burst into flames shortly after taking off at 2:45 p.m., WALB reported.

All of the occupants of the plane died at the scene.

The airport is now closed.
