BOEING 747-100 (N857FT)
The last flight and end of the line for Polar Air Cargo's "R. Rand Walters", N857FT, a Boeing 747-132, msn 20246. "Born" in 1971... and "died" in 2003 at Greenwood-Leflore Airport, KGWO.
It all reminded me of lyrics from the Eagle's song, the "Hotel California"...
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!"

Excellent snap! The gradual (but unstoppable) "March Of Time" that is slowly but surely sending the Queen Of The Skies to her final rest makes me sad, but photos such as yours here will always keep them available to see even after the big blade falls. Thanks for these great shots.
Gary, your words resonate well. It's not easy to see a great aircraft like this one while knowing the fate it awaited.
Thank you for your kind compliment. I do appreciate that!
