Excellent catches of the NASA jets! I wish I could have been there for that DC8.
Gorgeous Bird!
I always thought the "Stretch 8" was a nice-looking aircraft. Simple, but elegant. Rode one to and from SEA.
Excellen photograph RWB . as most of your shots are . Air Canada had a number of them in their fleet and I still recall my flights out of Montreal to Vancouver , London etc . always pleasant and comfortable .
RWB...........
Beautiful Capture of Beautiful Plane
As a kid on the flight path to Runway 18 CVG I remember a lot of Delta DC-8 Stretches and Flying Tigers Air Freight.

being an ex-diesel eight F/E, F/O & CA, i can relate very well to the -8, my good friend Doug Baker of NASA was the PF/E on this most exquisite pristine example of the verniable, robust dream-8 for decades.

Flew on a lot of those in United livery back in the day. Always a nice ride, except for the one landing in a storm in Chicago....
Glad to know NASA is keeping a "Stretch 8" flying! Curious though, what are those engines now?
This is one of the most favored planes that I never got to fly on! Old but graceful, and beautiful! I love that plane. I wish I could still get on one!
