AMAX Sport 1700 (ZU-PFM)

In memoriam Mike Lomberg, "handipilot" who fatally crashed in Thailand on December 30, 2018 while on a round the world flight, after flying from Switzerland, to Egypt, across Arabia, Northern India and Burma. His own aircraft shown here had been modified as Mike did not have the use of his legs. He had been a SAAF pilot, experimental test pilot, and had dedicated his life, after an accident that had left him paraplegic, to spreading the comradeship of the air, mentoring young pilots and showing the skies have no limit.
His base was Morningstar Airfield, Cape of Good Hope.
