Boeing 707-300 (N629RH) - One of the very last 'true' 707s flying made her appearance at RDU on 8/1 - Omega brought in their KC-707 based in MYR to RDU to tuck away from Hurricane Isaias. She's still here as of 8/4/20. An incredible privilege to see this airplane, after a week long of classic airliners - Air Force One, Air Force Two, a couple of DC-9s, and now this! From the approach to 23R.

We were on the cusp of a thunderstorm, so it was pretty righteous looking to the north of us.

Great photo Savannah - agree with Richard, the clouds just add that much more. When nature presents, we can but try to make the most of it, and you did - in the rain, in the sun, beautifully done.

Great Shot Savannah.Out of interest she began life in 1968 with Qantas as VH-EAI "City of Sydney as a 338 model.
She the went to the R.A.A.F as A20-629 "Windsor Town" after tanker conversion. She was sold to Omega in 2011.

Thanks everyone. It was a privilege having her here for almost a whole week, and I took a TON of pix. I'll add more shots if I think they're decent enough. I got to spend four days watching this bird coming and going. Heaven!
