Douglas DC-3 (N3006)

I had the greatest surprise of my entire life last summer when I was offered the private use of this fabulous classic aircraft for an afternoon flight. I was even more stunned when I was told I could invite seven others to come along. And to top it all off, the pilot for the flight was going to be a world-record holder. I could not truly believe it was not just a dream ... until we were all aboard and taxiing to take off. I will never, ever, ever forget this ultra-extraordinary experience, and I will never, ever, ever be able to repay the owner, the pilot, the copilot, and the flight stewardess for giving me and my invitees the most fabulous afternoon flight any of us will ever have.

Wish I could post 10 on this. Absolutely beautiful photo of a beautiful aircraft. Then comes the story behind it - wow. Perfect plane, perfect day, perfect photo.
