The Osprey looks good in white and light gull grey!

Like its floating in mid air - great shot.

Each time I see one of these, I wonder about the engine-out procedure. If one engine fails, what is the first thing on the list of immediate responses?

This may be new to the Navy, but I live 17 miles from Miramar MCAB, and they have flown overhead for many years. They operate training flights, and they use Interstate 15 as their flight path on their way back to Miramar. Their engines have the same recognizability as a P-51 in that you could be inside and hear one flying overhead, and you recognize what it is. I have never seen one at low altitude with the engines configured for tilting... They always fly over in helicopter mode.

Incredible technology! Great photo!

I wonder what the maintenance manhour per flight hour rate is on the Osprey.

Was visiting Washington DC last week, and, they were routinely flying around the Capital Mall.
A very controversial aircraft based on their expense, mission and flight history.
Excellent photograph!

I live in Norfolk UK and expect to see or hear the Osprey on her way over the Wash with its very distinctive engine throb,

Timothy, Twin engines Single drive-line. Single-engine has adequate beans to hover, (mostly, DA dependent of course)
