Agreed on the headphones but I believe the easing also opened a firehouse for providers who will lobby for cellular bands on cross country flights. Sooner rather than later. All part of progress. Thanks
Need rules of conduct such as setting text tones to vibrate and suggesting the use of headphones for game sounds etc. Here is another (though inevitable) issue to add to the "obnoxio-meter" for us road warriors
Did anyone notice that he left the aircraft BEFORE his family? I know on SWA families don't often sit all together but something strange about deplaning first and waiting for your kin to follow. He aptly wrote that there was time to become organized (persons taking their luggage from overheads etc)so there was time to belt out a quick plan to the son or even assemble him in front of you to egress first...Just Sayin!
My first Job as a young landed immigrant was working at terminal 3 for Pan Am as a Wheelchair Attendant. I met many interesting people deplaning on both sides of the terminal. Witnessed the wonder of Central European and Etheopian immigrants as they arrived during the great exodus of the 90's and saw the day to day evolution of Terminal 4. Yes Terminal 3 did have glory days
10 years ago this implied apathy would be considered almost treasonous to some writing here- I support the TSA and any other airport security bureaucracy across the world that helps bring me home from Europe, Asia or anywhere I travel- eternal vigilance is not just anecdotal
Boyd your statement was reactionary and off the hip. BWIA/CAL Pilot ratings are among highest in industry and the 70 year safety record does not mean 7 pilots each with 10 years good landings!! Ask questions first, dont just run to wikipedia and then come comment.
