Calgary gets a 77W. That's pretty major if you ask me

There are lots of cities in US with larger population, part of MSA with more people, or with many more people who are with an hour's drive without any service to Europe.

So having flights is good. Getting them upgraded to 77W (largest available twin airliner) is very good.

I got excited for Calgary when I read the first line of this article. Unfortunately, I was soon disappointed as I read on. The only thing that's new is an equipment change on the YYC flights to LHR and FRA, from A333 to B77W. I would hardly describe this as a "major expansion of international services."

Major, for Toronto and Montréal. Not so major for Calgary and Vancouver.
