Bombardier reminds us how easy governments make it to forget taxpayer investments
Gigantic pay packages for corporate executives always come with an intricate set of justifications, especially after they've generated public outrage. You don't get rich spending your money, you get rich spending other peoples money. Taxpayers are big time 'other people' here.
It is sad to see our tax dollars given to a company that rewards its top managers with such idiotic amounts. Bombardier can stand alone. If it doesn't have enough faith in its products to invest / gamble its own money, then move on!! Mind you the current government is pretty much clueless about anything. The people that voted for these dolts, owe the rest of us an apology.
I agree David..it's too bad the federal government hadn't mandated the same thing the Quebec government did or Joe Flaherty did (on his Air Canada help)..all these execs forget 1 thing..it isnt them making the money, it's the labour force making the product making the money...maybe about time they started cluing in

Disgusting. They brought Bombardier near bankruptcy,,cut 14500 jobs and are rewarded for this mess. Poor blind Québec government that gave them $ 3.5 billions ,the people 's money. Shame on you Liberal Party.
