Nice Gulfstream 650 landing and takeoff

Nice landing and takeoff. I like the asymmetric use of thrust reversers when turning before takeoff. (www.youtube.com) Más...

Sweet; never will forget a couple years back. Friend went on company trip into Denton TX to go thru Peterbilt truck plant; all by himself on a citation of some kind. Got off in time to meet Target Stores CEO getting off his new G650 and saying hi and looking down. Target was opening a new DC in Denton.

I don't disagree with you. All I know is what he said. This was about August, 2012.

The Gulfstream G650 was not yet certified in August 2012 and nobody other than the Gulfstream test aircraft were flying :)

G650 was certified on Sept 9 2012 and very first deliveries were a few days before Christmas 2012 :)

The G650 in this video N211HS is msn 6003 and was a flight test aircraft - it was handed over to Howard Schultz Starbucks CEO on Sept 27 2013.

Check out the livery on these two;

On September 7, 2012, the G650 received its type certificate from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).[16][17] Its first delivery was to an American customer named Preston Henn[18] on December 27, 2012.[19

Certification date was from memory - but I'll check :) - Sept 7 for USA,Isle of Man, Bermuda and Dec 21 for Europe.

Preston Hann bought it to flip it, he took delivery on Dec 27 and leased it back to Gulfstream as their demonstrator. at lease end it was sold to a German.

Whatever. It's a sweet bird. I've seen WalMart's, but I still liked my little super modified CRJ200 as well as that 767 and King Air. Now that I'm likin' that back porch and sweet tea though, I can say they are all pretty but it was for another time.

Tail number registration history on FlightAware goes back well before the certification dates mentioned in other comments here, but under a different serial number. I'm not a pilot, just like reading this stuff. The present serial number was first registered to Wells Fargo last year, so how does that work back to Starbucks?

There's a picture in FA of a G5 with the same tail number that is "5 years ago". Assume an owner can transfer registration from one plane to another?
