Obama Re-Elected: What Will Happen To Aviation Now?

'Anti-Aviation' President Feared by Many In Aviation Industry

Well... it appears that the Fat Lady is singing and that Barack Obama, for better or for worse, is about to serve a second term. One of the most controversial men to hold the office (even beyond Richard Nixon or Bill Clinton), we found that while walking the halls of NBAA, a true fear of the future was ever-present among the aviation business community as a result of the consequences of the last few years.

Be that as it may... we now have to live with reality.

There is little question that this administration has been 'anti-aviation' in a number of ways and that aviation has taken severe losses in the last four years. Still, the industry has survived (at last some of it, anyway) the worst of the last few years and now appears to be making slow but documented progress toward 'something better.' No matter which way you voted this week, we'd really like to hear from you as to what YOU think that this industry needs to not only survive the next few years, but to eventually recapture and surpass past glories.

  • Can aviation survive under Obama?
  • Can aviation rebuild itself now that a critical decision concerning our future has been made?
  • What will it take to get aviation off of life support and back into solid territory?
  • What path must the leaders of aviation take from here on out?
  • How can we improve our lot?
  • How will the election affect you?

PLEASE take some time and share your thoughts with ANN, and the rest of the ANN reader/viewer community, and we'll make sure that the most interesting, insightful and thoughtful responses get aired in front of God and everybody...

So... What say YOU????
