JetBlue Airways announced that the T5 Rooftop is now open for visitors.

The wooden outdoor deck, made from sustainable materials, is accessible to all passengers at the airline’s terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport once they have cleared security.  It includes a 4,046-square-foot (375-square-meter) landscaped park, seating for 50 people, a 400-square-foot (37-square-meter) area for children, and a dog walk.

Among the many features of the deck are views of the Manhattan skyline and the landmarked TWA Flight Center, which was designed by Eero Saarinen and opened in 1962.

Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, plants such as hydrangeas, lilyturf, and sweetsphire, and food carts offering Blue Marble ice cream and Hebrew National hot dogs.

JetBlue’s Terminal 5 (the Flight Center also carries the designation of Terminal 5) first opened in 2008 and its international arrivals hall, T5 International, opened last November.
