American Airlines to Launch New Miami-Haiti Route
American Airlines announced it will begin new daily service between Miami, Florida, and Cap-Haïtien, the second largest city in Haiti, on October 2. The service will operate using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Flights are scheduled to depart from Miami International Airport at 9:50 a.m. and arrive at Hugo Chavez International Airport in Cap-Haïtien at 11:50 a.m. Flights from Cap-Haïtien will depart at 2:00 p.m. and arrive in Miami at 3:59 p.m.
American’s 737-800s have a total of 150 seats, including 16 in first class, 48 in Main Cabin Select, the airline’s premium economy section, and 86 in economy. First-class seats have a pitch of 40” and a width of 21”, while seats in Main Cabin Extra are 17.2” wide and have a pitch of 35”-37”.
Cap-Haïtien will be the second Haitian destination served by American Airlines. The carrier currently offers service to Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti.
