Southwest Flight 1045 into MDW diverts due to radio silence at control tower

Just after midnight on June 4, 2016, the pilot for Southwest Airlines flight 1045 was unable to get anyone from the airport tower to respond. So a controller from the Federal Aviation Administration's regional center in Elgin stepped in. Talk About Stability. It's no secret the F-22 Raptor is one of the most maneuverable, if not THE most maneuverable fighter aircraft in the world. A strong case could be made that fourth generation Sukhoi and MiG aircraft also have thrust vectoring and could do the same, but there's really no way of telling which is better. WWII P-38 Fighter Pilot Fulfills Vow Made 70 Years Ago to Honor Comarades

Fredric Arnold entered combat with 13 other P-38 fighter pilots more than 70 years ago. Only he and one other survived combat. The two survivors vowed to honor their comrades. Over the last seven years, he sculpted 12 life-size bronze figures as a monument to the more than 88,000 Airmen killed in WWII. The monument depicts a mission briefing scene.
