Airbus A320 (N475UA) - Uniteds retro livery A320 holding short of runway 2L. The active runway was 20R (same runway, but opposite direction), but sometimes airliners will use 2L when they are close to max weight because there is a slight up slope going that direction which helps them get the lift they need quicker (the morning that I captured this one there were 3 using 2L). I was at one of my spotting locations when toward the end approach end of 20R and once I saw this one turn the other way I got in my car and scurried to this end (mostly obeying all traffic laws except for speed limits).

Thanks, Mark! If I ever head over your way I'll be sure to let you know. I'm over here in AZ, and the nearest "big" airport is about 75 miles away. So, that would be nice to come to the land of multiple good sized airports. Thanks again.

(We do have the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson. Again, that is about 75 miles away, but there are a TON of aircraft there!)

Thank you very much for your offer too Greg and I will be sure to let you know if I make it out that way. That's very unfortunate that you would have to drive that far to get to a major airport. I am very fortunate where I live as SNA and ONT are only about 30 minutes from me and LAX is only about an hour depending on traffic so I am VERY lucky in that respect. Also, now that you mention Air Museums, I also have the famous "Planes of Fame" Museum in Chino (bout 15 minutes from where I live and is also the airport where I rent Piper Cherokees out of). I look forward to meeting you someday :)

Thanks, Mark. And I have heard of the Planes of Fame Museum. It is on my list of museums I would like to visit. The PoF museum has a location in Valle, AZ. (Northwest of Flagstaff, AZ near the south entrance to the Grand Canyon Nat. Park) It isn't as big, but I have been there and enjoyed it a lot. I have some pictures from there posted here on FA as well as a bunch from the Pima Air & Space Museum.
