Airbus A320 (N228FR) - Frontiers "Orville the Red Cardinal" (N228FR) is snapped here at it eases up to the Gate B11 jetbridge at Reno Tahoe International a minute or two before 4 PM yesterday afternoon (April 10, 2018) to launch new air service between Austin-Bergstrom (KAUS) and Reno. FFT is also increasing its weekly flights between Reno and Denver from 3 to 4 a week.

As of yesterday, FFT now provides direct-flight service from Reno to two destinations ... Denver and the capital of the great state of Texas, Austin. And while I'm on the topic of "destinations," I'm going to repeat my "prediction" about yet another new airline starting service here .... ""WestJet will be here by the end of this year." If my guess becomes reality, WestJet will become the second foreign-flagged airline to start service to Reno (WestJet is a Canadian carrier) and it will be the sixth new airline to launch here in just under four years.
