I am so Glad and pleased to say I got fly it. We flew at 60,000 feet on a 2 1/2 hour promotional flight and got to see the curvature of the Earth... as well we did Mac 2!
Awesome picture, I wish I was about 30 years older so I could have atleast have been ablt to fly on one. Do you know what year this is from?
It was in the late 1980s if I remember correctly. They flew one in every other year over about a six year time span. Then I think they brought one back late in the Concorde's years. I went/worked at the Fly In for a vendor from 1981 to 1993.
The Concorde was at Oshkosh in '85, '88, '90, '94 and '98. There was a Concorde Reunion in '09, but it was only people involved with the plane, and not the plane itself.
Thanks for the info. I love the history behind these birds.
