One of my old college buddies, Jeff Ethell, died in a crash of a P-38, ironically painted like the one his father,Irving Ethell flew to achieve ace status while in N.Africa.That was back in the late 90's. Check any of Jeff's books for magnificent photos (in kodachrome) of great planes.

The late Jeffrey Ethell was a preeminent aviation author, expert, and historian. I used to truly enjoy his commentary when he appeared on aviation documentaries. His contributions to aviation and his great body of work should always be remembered.
